In which Adam (if I may) encapsulates the factual and ethical failings of assigning social and moral significance to race. He urges the anti-woke right who engage in this while claiming to value the principle of colorblindness to recognise that they are becoming what they hate and reconnect with their principles. This is particularly valuable because from my UK perspective (which may not map well onto the US) Adam appears to be a liberal conservative. He is, at least, respected by many ethical & thoughtful conservatives. Those of us on the liberal left trying to get our own house in order and counter the illiberal identity politics on the left should support those on the liberal right addressing the rise of a new, reactive form of illiberal identity politics on the right. -
